Most Surprising 2008 Baseball Player

Nate McClouth
Pirates Outfielder who has 43 Runs 12 HRs 39 RBIs 5 Stolen bases while hitting .311. At this pace his end of season stats would be: 115 Runs 32 HR 105 RBI
Carlos Quentin
Carrying the White Sox offense nearly by himself since Thome, Konerko and Swisher all are hitting under .210.

Quentin's numbers are 35 Runs 14 HR 47 RBIS 4 SB .296 Avg.
On Pace for: 94 Runs 38 HR 126 RBI
Josh Hamilton
Hamilton's tremendous story continues as he is becoming one of the best hitters in Major League Baseball. He might not get as much love as he should in Texas. Earlier this season he became the fastest player to 50 RBIs in the history of baseball.

35 Runs 13 HRs 58 RBI 2 SBs .324
On Pace for: 94 Runs 35 HR 155 RBI
Dan Uggla
Dan Uggla has the 2nd most HRs ever by a second baseman at this point in the season. The Florida Marlins are in first place in front of the heavily favored New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves.
Current: 41 Runs 16 HR 38 RBI 2 SBs .307
On-Pace: 110 Runs 43 HR 102 RBI

How crazy would it be to have a second baseman hit 40 HRs?
The most ever in a season by a second baseman is 42 by Davey Johnson
Chipper Jones
Sure we have high expectations for Chipper Jones. He won the 1999 MVP award and has played in 5 all-star games. But this season his numbers are ridiculous we are 1/3 of the way through the season and he is still hitting over .400 with an on-base percentage near .500

Current:38 Runs 12 HRs 35 RBIs .418 Avg .495 OBP
On Pace: 102 Runs 32 HRs 94 RBIs
