Athletes that My Wife (who knows nothing about sports) Knows
These were the first 10 Athletes my wife could name. Keep in mind she grew up in Chicago in the 80s. I have listed them in the order in which they were shouted to me as she watched E News in the other room. Feel free to rank in whatever way you see fit.

Chad Johnson
His book (appropriately titled "CHAD") has been prominantly displayed in our home for over two years. Can't believe he lasted until number 8.
BJ Armstrong
What!? Wow. I don't know whats more surprising: 1) that BJ Armstrong is on this list; or 2) that Youtube has a BJ Armstrong highlight tape. Awesome. The way this is headed- Bill Cartwright should keep his fingers crossed.
Anna Kournikova
is to "athlete" as Shaq is to "Movie Star"... but we'll count it.
Nadia Comaneci
Interesting. Didn't see that coming.
Dennis Rodman
Appropriate ending. I learned a lot by this. Namely that my wife watched a lot of sports between the ages of 4 and 12... and then stopped completely after that.
Jim McMahon
Carson Palmer should be pissed. He really should be.

Nope. Lets be clear... I was lucky to get 10. Didn't think they would be so random though. Jordan Rose and Chad were expected, everything else was surprise. I think a better list would be a more general "athletes people who know nothing about sports know"

This is probably the first time the name BJ Armstrong has been mentioned since the end of the Bulls dynasty. I completely forgot about that guy. We could have a list of athletes your wife still knows that everyone else has forgotten: BJ Armstrong Mary Lou Retton Nadia Comaneci

I have to admit, there were a couple people on this list I've never heard of. Maybe you should add people like Lebron James, Tiger Woods, Ben Roethlisberger, Tony Romo (dating Jessica Simpson - that's the only reason I know him), Tony Parker (married to Eva Longoria - that's the only reason I know him). I went ahead and added Peyton Manning... he's a household name these days! (I loved his SNL skit with the kids - hilarious!)
